Skagit Design uses a proven building system to provide a new home for a very reasonable cost. Some of these homes can be found on this website at our "Plans" page. We are presently adding to our standard plan catalog.
We also know that there is no "one size fits all" in a home plan.
We are happy to modify a standard plan to fit your personal needs. This service is included at no charge with purchase of your new home.
We are also able to design a plan from your ideas and our experience. Again, we offer this service complimentary with your new home. This may be the best fit for you and your unique situation. We can often keep these more custom homes within the same pricing structure as a standard home.
If you would like us to design your home for you to have you or your contractor build it, we are happy to do that as well. Our design rates are very competitive. We do not contract out the design work, but design here in our Burlington office. You are able to meet with your designer and discuss your needs as well as provide input throughout the design process. We can also have your home engineered by a licensed Washington State engineer. We will provide documents and plans for you to take to your local permit center to get your building permit. If you do choose to build with us, we will deduct the cost of the design work for our contract amount.
